This filter is a general use decoder filter, based on the great FFMPEG library. It can decode most video and audio compression methods existing today and all in a single, powerful DirectShow filter for Windows Mediaplayer. There are later version of ffdshow out there than this one, however, they are not distributed from their official homepage on sourceforge anymore. Google is your friend.

This a DirectShow muxer filter. To use in GraphEdit, connect the filters outputting compressed data to the in pins of the Matroska Muxer. Then connect the out pin to the File Writer filter. Its used in both ATV2000 and VirtualVCR for MKV capturing.
